It was your average Sunday morning and Cat Lord Bob was out at the local coffee shop with his friend Garrulous Goose. The atmosphere was light and the coffee fantastic as usual and they were quite enjoying themselves. Garrulous Goose mentioned that he had recently heard of something he should keep Mum about, but he just couldn't resist telling Cat Lord Bob all about it. He was just about to start explaining, when in walked Derp the Duck. Turns out what Garrulous Goose was about to tell Cat Lord Bob, involved Derp the Duck and his friend Loose Llama. The two watched as Derp the Duck got a bagel and a large coffee and headed towards their table. “Hello CLB and Double G, how is it going this morning?” Derp the Duck asked them as he sat down. Cat Lord Bob did not appreciate being abbreviated and the light atmosphere in the shop started darkening as his ear twitched. “We are doing just Fine, Garrulous Goose here was just about to tell me the most amusing...” said Cat Lord Bob, breaking off as he saw Garrulous Goose making shush motions with his wing. “… Thing about Bagels” He continued as if nothing had happened. As Derp the Duck was fully obsessed with Bagels this conversation lasted over an hour until Derp the Duck announced he had to run, he was late for his Daily Swim. As Derp the Duck was leaving, Cat Lord Bob looked at Garrulous Goose with an amused stare and slowly sipped his Coffee. The small thunderclouds hovering around the room began to fade away. "What was that you were saying, Garrulous Goose?" Cat lord Bob chuckled.

It was not a Good Day for Loose Llama. Her ear had fallen off again and she just knew that Garrulous Goose was going to be at the coffee shop this morning. He never missed a chance to speak to Cat Lord Bob, and was probably already filling him in on how her ear had fallen off and Derp the Duck had mistaken it for a cleaning cloth and had used it to buff the conference room table. Sometimes she wished Garrulous Goose was Ghostly Goose and no one could hear him. She looked everywhere for her ear but could not find it. The maddening part was she could hear herself from it, moving all around her office as she looked, but could not find it. She opened her bag to get out her phone and call Cat Lord Bob and let him know she was running late, and lo and behold, there it was, sitting in her bag. She would never hear the end of this she thought, the Pun just rolling around in her head. At least Cat lord Bob had a good head on his shoulders she thought, well he would if he had any shoulders…. Plush! Seemed to hire just about anyone and anything, so you really had to have an open mind working for them, and it was a good thing, as some of the Zombies on the Third Floor took that literally.

The president of Plush! looked around his office and sighed. It just seemed that no matter what he did, there was always glitter somewhere or on something. Being a Magical Enchanted Splendidly Fantastic Unicorn tended to have something to do with it he thought as he flipped his rainbow mane over to the left side and looked at himself in the mirror. He stared for a minute, making sure all was well with his looks. It was. Time for a Latte he thought as he headed for the door. In the lobby he ran into Loose Llama, and politely invited her to join him. "I was just headed there myself, Uri. I have to meet a friend" she told him and they proceeded to walk out the front doors together and down the street to the Coffee shop. "I hope that Cat is going to be there today" Uri said with a twinkle in his eye. Loose thought the Twinkle might be some more glitter, but decided not to comment. She was already going to be shimmery for the next few days just from walking with him. Besides, how can you complain when the boss asks you out for Coffee. Granted the latest project had them all working some very odd hours, It was Sunday for goodness sakes, but they were going to be on time with production. The weather was pleasant, the sun was out and the clouds were light and wispy, and everything was looking up for once.

The coffee shop was just around the corner from the Plush! building and a popular spot for employees to hang out at. Cat Lord Bob hung out at the coffee shop most days as he lived nearby. The fact that he also owned it would explain it as well, but for the most part no one knew that. Only Pedro knew that, and he wasn't talking. Chase the Green Cat, unknowingly one of Cat Lord Bob's minions, was in the process of cleaning off the Espresso machine when in walked his favorite person in the world. He just couldn't get enough of that fluffy wooly Llama that he loved. He moved to the front of the counter and watched her walk up to the counter after waving at Cat Lord Bob. Ugh, Cat Lord Bob, even in his head he gave the jerk his title. What was up with that he thought, why do I title him even in my thoughts? Chase did not like Cat Lord Bob. He thought he was vain and full of himself to have a title like that, but everyone seemed to accept it. Glad he's not my boss he thought as he prepared to wait on Loose Llama and her boss (what was his name again, Uri was it?) Uri ordered a Rainbow Express Latte and asked Loose to bring it to the Table and proceeded to walk over to Cat Lord Bob. Loose Llama agreed and turned back to Chase to order her favorite, an Amaretto mocha latte. Chase put together the order while wistfully thinking of how much better his life could be if he shared it with Loose Llama. He had tried to apply for a Job at Plush! so he could see Loose Llama even more often, but the only positions they had open at the time had been in Accounting. Chase had heard the stories of the Zombies on the Third floor, and Accounting was on the third floor as well so even though he qualified, he thought he might be better off at his current job after all.

Cat Lord Bob looked over at Uri as he sat down at the table and asked him how were things over at Plush!. Uri smiled and shook out his luxurious mane and said "We are doing quite well at the moment, our latest project is almost complete and it will be a Game changer." Loose Llama approached bearing Uri's Latte and her own and pulled up a chair and joined them. As Uri explained the latest project to Cat Lord Bob, Loose thought about the nice green cat behind the counter that always seemed glad to see her. He was cute in a way, and seemed to always be interested in what she had to say. Lost in her thoughts, she was abruptly brought back into reality when Uri tapped her on the shoulder and asked her, for what might be the second time, what she thought about the current project. Loose looked over at Cat Lord Bob to see if she could figure out what he thought about all of this before she answered. He looked interested so she decided to go with honesty. I think we are on the right track, though I am concerned about the safety of those using the final product, she said. Testing has shown that most users will be able understand the interface quickly and be able to get right into enjoying the experience, but a good percentage will experience vertigo and some nausea. We also need to address the issue of sales to people with more than two eyes. We would not have even considered that issue if one of our graphics techs had not been a Spider. "Yep, Good old Larry eight eyes" said Uri, taking another sip of his Latte. I can't wait to take our simulation live. People are going to really love this new world we have created. It's called Earth, and your avatar is this type of bi-pedal being we are calling Human. The character creation screen is incredibly detailed as is the world. Once you create your character you start off as a very young version and as you progress through the game you age. Except in very special cases, you only get one life, and once you lose it you have to create a new character and start over. We did make one change though, from the idea phase, and that is that your name is chosen by the system, and not in your control until level 18, at which you can petition the in game system to change it.  This is going to be the open world simulation that everyone has been waiting for. Garrulous Goose thought for a moment and then asked, What if the user gets too involved in the simulation and does not want to leave, couldn't that be dangerous to them? Loose Llama answered him, We have worked on that and made sure that a reminder to check in with the real world comes up periodically, and you can also set alarms to bring you out of the simulation whenever you like.
